Dear PB, I bought your earrings today. I read your story and thought of how God turns ashes into beauty. I thought of how you turned metal into beauty with the wonderful earrings. From Isaiah 61:1-3. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,     because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,     to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor     and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness,     a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Born and raised in Nashville, I was among you. I was young and growing older but I was around you. After a traumatic personal experience at 20, my beautiful mother brought me to the Circle at Thistle Farms. Without knowledge of the Branded Collective and its story, my eyes went straight to this cuff I wear religiously by "V". You were hope for me. You were my light. Because freedom is love. Love is blind. Love is timeless. Thank You.

I found this when I was a teenager, going through some things that most girls my age never experienced, and should never go through. It’s always stuck with me. I just wanted to share it. Comes the Dawn After a while you learn the subtle difference Between holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning And company doesn't mean security, And you begin to understand that kisses aren't contracts And presents aren't promises. And you begin to accept your defeats With your head held high and your eyes open, With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child. You learn to build your roads On today because tomorrow's ground Is too uncertain for plans, and futures have A way of falling down in midflight. After a while you learn that even sunshine Burns if you get too much. So you plant your own garden and decorate Your own soul, instead of waiting For someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you can really endure, That you really are strong And you really do have worth And you learn and learn ... and you learn With every goodbye you learn. Veronica Shorffstall, 1971

I loved reading about my survivor and how ironic that she never meets a stranger because I am the same way. I am happy to have her piece of jewelry and will wear my bracelet with pride everyday. "If God is with me, who can be against me?" Romans 8:31 is her favorite quote and I will remember it forever. Stay strong and thank you!

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalm 34:18 My prayer is that you find rest, peace, and hope in the Lord. May he cover you with his love and grace. My bracelet will be a constant reminder to pray over these women and that our voices do not go unheard. Light will always overcome darkness.

Christ came to the defense of a hurting woman and the Son of Man stood between her ache and her attackers and He lifted the weight of shame from her and cupped her heart with hope and wrote a new future into the dust and dirt of everything and He saved her life. That is how God loves his daughters with His defense.

People love my BRANDED cuffs, mostly young people, like myself, ask me what it represents because one look at them and they just know. They know there's a story there and they're itching to hear it. Adults kind of linger, wondering if I'm "branding" myself and they kind of inquire, but they just think it's a sweet thing for me to have. However, it's so much more to me than that, my cuffs represent a life, one that was saved, one that has a future and a hope. God has brought me out of so many difficult situations and His grace, mercy and power never seem to stop amazing me. The way that God reaches us where we are, when we need to be met, is something so special, that can only be experienced, I love BRANDED, I love what y'all stand for and what you do every day, it's inspiring, encouraging and it gives me a greater faith in Jesus, because wow, He is so good. I love all of you, I love all of the women you help. Thank you for creating a space for people to be touched, people to be encouraged and for God to move in a supernatural way.

My mom brought back a beautiful necklace with the initials RO on it, I read about RO and I learned about what an amazing person she is.
